Vitamin D is of paramount importance for us human beings and we require sunlight to synthesize this vitamin. However, some people cannot expose their body even to minimal sunrays as well because of the rare disorder they have – Xeroderma Pigmentosum. Skin of such people is over sensitive to the sunrays and a mild exposure leads to severe sunburns and breakdown of skin. People call it the Vampire Syndrome, and if such people do not take proper care, they might easily develop some or the other type of skin cancer.

A deadly infection that is quite strange. It is rare but is fatal in majority of the cases. Also known as the “flesh eating bacteria disease,” it makes a person’s immune system weak and the bacterium eats up the skin, fat, and the tissues that cover muscles. It starts from one body part and soon spreads over entire body.

This disorder makes one hand of a person work independently, as in; there is no coordination between the two hands. The sufferer’s mind cannot figure out the actions and intentions of the alien hand, so they are unaware of its actions. This disorder is rare and is mild and severe. If it is severe, the patient’s alien hand involves in activities like tearing, scratching, and punching himself or someone else, without his having any control over it.

A disorder distorts human face, as tissues on one side and half face shrink and are damaged. Usually it affects the one side of the face but in some cases, it damages both sides of the face. Along with the facial atrophy sometimes, the other limbs of the person also are affected and distorted.

Hypertrichosis is yet another rare disorder, which is excessive hair growth on face. Not just face, but such a person has excess of hair on the entire body. The hair growth is not like the normal human hair but long and bushy growth that looks like that of a wolf hair, and this is why this disorder is better known as the “ware wolf syndrome.”
