PowerWalk exoskeleton generates electricity to charge your gadgets

You may have seen some of the most advanced or creative military exoskeletons in the past, but the new leg braces from the Canadian technology company Bionic Power is possibly the most sustainable exoskeleton that apart from supporting thigh and calf muscles while descending steep slopes, also generate electricity to power your portable gadgets on the move.

Hailed as “PowerWalk,” the environmentally friendly exoskeleton weighs around 1.7 pounds and generates about 12 watts of electricity on a normal walk for an hour, which is sufficient to charge four mobile phones. Now soldiers need not to carry bulky batteries to charge their accessories, such as flashlights and night vision goggles. Moreover, the PowerWalk M-Series will help the government save about $135 in batteries on a regular duty day.
