People usually want to confirm about an unknown visitor standing in front of their doorstep before finally letting him/her in. providing a solution LA-based Edison Junior has developed a Wi-Fi enabled doorbell called the “DoorBot” that lets you see the person knocking at the door using your Smartphone. Connecting with Lockitron, the smart doorbell also allows keyless entry to your door through Smartphone.

Made using brushed aluminum, the doorbell comes with a weather resistant housing.  Compatible with both Android and iOS, the DoorBot lets the user talk to the stranger at the doorstep using his/her Smartphone, while a light ring amplifies the intercom. Moreover, the smart doorbell comes with infrared lights to see the video at night. Powered by four AA batteries, the DoorBot can be pre-ordered for $169.
