Digging up the backyard is certainly a good time pass for children but not that exciting for the grownups. Two kids back in the year 1978 decided to dig their backyard to kill some time. They never knew that their time pass could turn into something this big; they actually found a Dino 246 GTS Ferrari that was buried for some years in their backyard. They called the excavators and police, later it was found that the car was stolen four years back and the thieves might have buried it there.
Coins worth $10 million

One of the most told stories is of the hidden treasure buried in earth, and the innocent minds of children take such stories for something real. However, after reading this incident not just children but the adults and the old people should also start taking such stories for real. A couple was roaming with their dog on their property and suddenly they saw something protruding out from the ground. They went closer and after a bit of digging they took out rusty canister that had some gold coins full of dust. They searched a little more and found eight such cans full of gold coins.
Church Bell

A Czech man was digging up his backyard in 2013 but accidently surfaced metal objects. After cleansing, he found that those metal objects were two church bells around 400 years old. After some investigation, he found that those were the bells that were stolen 11 years back from a nearby church.
A loaded machine gun

This backyard discovery was not pleasant but disturbing. A man in Northeast Calgary, Canada found a loaded machine gun in the space between his garage and the fence. It was a plastic bag with a fully loaded machine gun and a cell phone. Police got involved but its owner’s identity is still unclear.

A man in California who never disclosed his identity for the fear of a geologist gang landing up in his property, found an 8.2-pound gold nugget in the backyard. The man got an incredible price of $460,000 for the nugget at an auction.
